What is the point?
If you are an Engineer, there are things that you are supposed to do.
If you are a Christian, there are also things that you are suppose to do.
Once you have read the Word, what will you do with it?
Are you going to meet your needs?

He read in the word that if he helps the poor, he is lending to the Lord – and agreed that was a good idea
Proverbs 19:17
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
But somehow he missed James 2:16
and one of you say unto them, “Depart in peace; be ye warmed and filled,” without giving them those things which are needful to the body, what doth it profit?
