Jesus gives his disciples power to heal and cast out all unclean spirits

Matthew 10:1

10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Luke 9:1-2

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Remember the “All” - Matthew 10:1

10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Luke 9:37-43

37 And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.

39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.

40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

43 And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God…

Jesus gives his disciples power to heal and cast out all unclean spirits

James 1:5-8

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

The tongue is your goal setter

  • Jesus is our example
  • God calls things that are not as though they were
  • In Genesis: God saw darkness and called for light

Romans 4:17

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Psalm 45:1

45 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Proverbs 18:21

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Calling things as they are

Lets say there is a person who believes in calling things like they are. They want to feed the dog but the cat is there. So since this man believes in calling things the way they are - he says here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty. The cat is right there with him. The neighbor comes over and goes - what are you doing? I'm trying to feed the dog. The neighbor goes - then why are you calling the cat? . I believe in calling it like it is and the cat is here, the dog is not, so I am calling the cat (by this time all the neighborhood cats have come). The cat is licking him in the face and he is saying here kitty, kitty.

If you doubt God's ability for provision in your life - these are the things you would say

If you say, I am taking the flu – you are calling for sickness

If you say, I always run out of money this time of year – you are calling for lack

If you say, I always make the wrong choice – you are calling for the opposite of wisdom

When sickness and financial hardship are licking you in the face - don't call for them. Instead call for abundance - and call for healing, call for provision
