Call for what you don't have - not what you do have

Romans  4:17

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Calling things as they are

Lets say there is a person who believes in calling things like they are. They want to feed the dog but the cat is there. So since this man believes in calling things the way they are - he says here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty. The cat is right there with him. The neighbor comes over and goes - what are you doing? I'm trying to feed the dog. The neighbor goes - then why are you calling the cat? . I believe in calling it like it is and the cat is here, the dog is not, so I am calling the cat (by this time all the neighborhood cats have come). The cat is licking him in the face and he is saying here kitty, kitty.

When sickness and financial hardship are licking you in the face - don't call for them. Instead call for abundance - and call for healing.

The prophets servant was calling things as they are

2 Kings 6:15 - And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

They had danger - and the servant was calling for danger - don't call for what you have.

What should the servant have done?

The servant should have declared psalm 91 over themselves and there situation

91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

How important are the Words that you say?

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

If you say, that mountain was there yesterday, its there today, and its going to be there tomorrow - then your mountain will never move.

Mark 9:23 - Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Matthew 21:21

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
